Meteorological and air quality information

The Links below will show you selected meteorological and air quality parameters, presented as time series diagrams. The charts shows hourly updated measurement values of the past 5 and the past 20 days. Measurements are operated by the Dept. of Micrometeorology of the University of Bayreuth. In charge is Prof. Dr. T. Foken. The presented time series will only give you an overview about the weather conditions of the past few days. The charts are produced automatically. There is no explicit data quality control. Please, do not retrieve original data from the graphs and/or distribute them in a printed form.

Our measuring sites

Ecological-Botanical Garden: Meteorological Tower (height of 17 m). Measurements of meteorological parameters at the site of the Ecological-Botanical Garden of the University of Bayreuth.

Waldstein Container: Measurement Container «Pflanzgarten». Measurements of air quality and meteorological parameters in a clearing. Research site in the north-eastern mountain region of Bavaria (Upper Franconia, Fichtelgebirge).
(soon) Voitsumra: Automatic weather station. Measurements of meteorological parameters in a meadow, upper Eger valley, near Weißenstadt.
